Description: Non-ACGME one-year fellowship. Atmost 8 months training abroad. Prior fellowship in cornea, glaucoma, retina, or uveitis preferred but not required. Networking with overseas Eye banks and organizations highly encouraged. List includes Himalayan Cataract Project, Orbis International, Tissue Banks International, and other international eye banks.

Overseas location:

  • Main: India (Aravind Eyecare System), Nepal (The Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology), Tanzania (Weill Bugando Medical Center and the University of Dodoma)

  • Other core sites: Haiti, Micronesia, Ghana, Bolivia, and Ethiopia, and other places depending on trainee preference (please check out links below)

Local Community Support: Navajo Nation and other local Native American communities, resettled refugee population and other underserved populations in Salt Lake City and Park City
