Description: 1 year fellowship certified via Association of University Professors of Ophthalmology. In collaboration with the Himalayan Cataract Project, fellows spend 2/3 of time abroad in either Asia or Africa. Prior subspecialty training encouraged so that additional skills can be built in low-resourced settings. Approximately 4 months spent at Stanford working on research projects and studying economics of developing eye care programs.
