Dr. Naithani is a clinical research fellow at the Duke Eye Center. Prior to this, she completed her master’s in public health concentrating on population health. As the chair, she founded and designed 'Open Globe Talk’ in 2021 as a medium for medical students and early trainees to have a voice in global ophthalmology.

Outside of medicine, she enjoys creative writing and has authored a poetry book.
